Sleepy dogs and the King George Inn

Boy oh boy, all this travelling makes us sleepy...

The courtyard at the King George Inn...the green side is all fake facades. and there's doors that lead into more courtyards...it's a pretty neat place.

The Jail Cell!

The Sink...which was in between the shower and the bed.

We stayed at the King George Inn (formerly the Cobourg Jail) where some original parts of the cells were incorporated into the room. One part of which just happened to be a toilet which was very "exposed", basically it was part of the room, only separated by the some bars and fake ivy! hehehehe. Needless to say some agreements were made immediately concerning the use of said toilet.

The Toilet...in front of which stood a very comfy armchair ??

I didn't do it! I swear!

Cobourg - Labour Day Weekend

The Cat & Fiddle

Despite the rain over the Labour Day weekend, we still had a fun trip to both Kingston and Cobourg. We even managed to take the dogs with us for dinner at the Cat & Fiddle, they have an awsome covered patio.

One special note, we stayed at the King George Inn, formerly the Cobourg Jail, our room still had some of the original jail cell incorporated into the room. This included a very open toilet area! Arrgghhh! that was quite a shock, needless to say we made some agreements as to the use of said toilet.

Kingston - Labour Day Weekend

Well, thanks to a tropical storm by the name of Ernesto, our weekend weather turned out to be quite wet! but that didn't dampen our spirits, we just put on our rain gear! We visited Kingston on Saturday, arriving at around 11am...and luckily the rain held off until around 2. We did our usual walk about and popped into "Dansk", one of our favourite stores. We also stopped in at a store by the name of "Jungle"...we always make sure to pop in there, they have the funniest looking dog...a mix of (you won't believe this), a Rottweiler and a Dachsund. The dog has the full head size and body of a rottie, except, it's been elongated and he stands on regular short little Dachsund legs. We have of course included a photo below. He is very sweet and comes out to say hi to all of the customers...the owner and staff are really friendly, and the girl behind the counter loves to see Robin, she collects teddy bears and says Robin would be the perfect dog for her!
